Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare example of an early hardcover NSDAP "Cigarette Card Album", titled Adolf Hi***r: Bilder aus dem Leben des Führer (Pictures from the life of the leader). These were produced as propaganda, meant to popularize the NSDAP version of the life of "Der Führer" after they successfully took over power in 1933. This example is edition 1101-1200. Tausend (1101-1200 Thousand), so it was printed in the mid 1930s by Cigaretten=Bilderdienst (Cigarette Picture Service) of Altona-Bahrenfeld, with a copyright date of 1936.
It is approximately 133 pages long, hardcover, and features a huge number of glued in pictures, as well as some very impressive portraits of the top level NSDAP leadership during the early days. It measures approximately 9 3/4"W x 12 3/8"H x 3/4", and is offered in very good condition. This is one of many collectible books released after the NSDAP rise to power in 1933, and is both a collector's book as well as a history book. It comes with the original black & white slip cover, which unfortunately has seen some damage over the years, and is contained in what looks to be the original cardboard packaging.
