Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a cutoff portion of a WWII German NSDAP Banner / Flag, which approximately 44 inches wide by 86 inches long. It is of cotton construction, and is single sided with a stitched on cotton white circle with a dyed black Swas (Hook Cross). Of note is that the central circle was previously attached to another banner / flag, and then re-stitched to this red background. The banner appears to have been cut off at the ends after being pulled down, and the cuts are not exactly straight. It also has small tears and stains over a lot of the flag, a true battlefield trophy!
The most notable aspect of this flag are the numerous USGI names on the flag, which look to have been written by several different people. When these flags were made it was common for whoever had the best / fastest handwriting to add the names. These read as follows:

A fantastic genuine battlefield trophy signed by a group of American soldiers from all over the country during the fall of the Third Reich in World War Two. A great display piece with lots of research potential!
