Original Item: Only one available. This is a great example of a Great War Imperial German Field Cap (Feldmütze or Krätzche). It is constructed of grey/green "Felgrau" wool with a black cap band and red piping along with an interior linen lining. The front of the cap bears a Black, White and Red Reichskokarde (Imperial Cockade) on the front of the crown, with a Black and White Cockade on the cap band for the Kingdom of Prussia.
The cap is in very good lightly used condition, probably one of the best that we have seen recently. There are only a few areas of mothing, with very little wear, and the colors are still quite vibrant. The cockades are both in great shape, and there are still the original maker and depot marks stamped onto the inside liner, along with the size 59.
