Original Item: Only One Available. This is an extremely rare Type 90 Civil defense helmet, complete with a gilded cherry blossom emblem on the front. There are several kanji on the badge, but we have not been able to translate them. The Japanese WWII Civil Defense helmet was the final of four variations of the Type 90 Army helmet and was designed specifically for mainland civil defense.
Overall condition is very good with correct brown paint. There is some scuffing and a bit of paint loss on the top, but nothing major. Inside is a late war cotton mesh liner. Also included is the complete original chinstrap.
This is an excellent opportunity to pick up a WWII issue type 90 Tetsubo helmet, a necessity for any Japanese WWII headgear collection.
