Original Imperial Japanese Army WWII Type 98 Sun Pith Helmet

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition original WWII Japanese Army type 98 tropical sun pith helmet. It still retains a wonderful form with internal bamboo wicker construction. Comes with original pentagonal bevo style cloth embroidered army star insignia to the front. Helmet has part of the original suspension system and original chinstrap.
This example is well marked with original labels inside bearing Japanese kanji characters. One of these is marked with what appears to be a date.
The condition does show wear consistent with service and storage. The exterior has some staining, and there is minor wear to the yellow star on the front of the helmet. The interior retains the color well, with some discoloration around the brim. The lower suspension band is present with a working buckle. It has a complete functional chin strap.
