Original Item. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous cast flag pole topper depicting the crest of the Italian House of Savoy. The House of Savoy was a royal dynasty which ruled the Kingdom of Italy until 1946. The last monarch reigned briefly right before the institutional referendum of 1946, after which the Italian Republic was proclaimed.
This cast bronze flag pole topper would have been used for ceremonial events, military events, etc. It is in excellent condition for its age with no signs of chips, cracks or breaks. The finish has developed a lovely patina, and the bottom is threaded to be screwed into the flagpole. The topper measures 10 ¾” tall by 4" wide.
This is a fantastic piece of history from the Kingdom of Italy, ready for further research and display!
