Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely battle damaged helmet and was the standard issue for the Japanese army of WWII. These were worn during the battle of Shanghai, Nanking, Guadalcanal, Burma, Iwo Jima and pretty much everywhere else, so the damage could have been a result of fighting in any of these locations.
This example is just a shell which appears to have been ground dug after spending decades in the earth. There are two impact holes and one exit hole which appears to have been made by a smaller caliber rifle round. From the oxidation present around these holes, we believe this to not have been a “target practice” helmet. The helmet was more than likely shot off and then lost to time.
A wonderful Japanese combat helmet with real signs of use ready for display.
