This is an excellent condition totally genuine WW2 Japanese Army paratrooper bayonet with the manufacturer marking of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works under Nagoya Arsenal supervision.The bayonet was issued for use with the Type 100 Submachine Gun, and various Paratrooper Rifles including the Type 100 Paratrooper Rifle.
The blade is approximately 7 7/8 inches long, with an overall length of approximately 12 1/4 inches. The bayonet has a bird head pommel, slightly contoured wood grips, and a straight quillon. The pommel is cleanly serial numbered 1521. The wood grips are also in excellent condition without cracks or chips. The darkly blued blade is in splendid condition with the blueing almost entirely intact. The scabbard is straight without dents with majority of blueing remaining, there is one tiny ding that is 1/2 the size of the fingernail of a pinky finger.
Overall an amazing example of an extremely scarce bayonet offered in excellent condition!
