Original Item: Only One Available. Original 1950’s-1960s Vintage U.S. Military TNT Explosive Demolitions One Pound Block. This is the version packaging that was introduced late in WWII and was used through the Vietnam Era. Needless to say, all explosive content has been removed from this tube, leaving only the cardboard Tube and metal ends for display purposes.
The packaging is attractive, with a forest green color base with a yellow band at the midsection. On the face of the tube is marked in white: “HIGH EXPLOSIVE/TNT/1 POUND NET/DANGEROUS” on the reverse is marked: “FOR FRONT LINE DEMOLITION ONLY/NOT TO BE USED FOR GENERAL BLASTING/DO NOT USE UNDERGROUND OR IN ENCLOSED SPACES BECAUSE OF DANGEROUS FUMES” The top of the box is marked “EQUIVALENT TO TWO POUNDS TNT BLOCKS” followed by a lot number.
Due to the nature of these items, very few examples survive to this day. Most, if not used, were intentionally destroyed for obvious reasons! This is an excellent opportunity to obtain a scarce piece of U.S. Military Ordnance.
