Original Lot of 3 U.S. Vietnam War Era M7 Bayonets for M16 Rifle with M8A1 Scabbard - Bauer Ordnance Co. and Conetta

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set of 3 Available. Lot of Three Genuine Vietnam War Era U.S. Army M7 Bayonet Fighting Knifes for the M-16 Rifle, with an original M8A1 scabbard. This knife-style bayonet was based on the M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine, which was itself based on the M3 fighting knife. The M7 is almost identical, except for the much larger muzzle ring which is necessary to fit around the M16's flash hider.

These examples are marked (1) U.S. M7 / CONETTA and (2) US M7 / BOC around the blade on the cross guard. One bayonet was made by Conetta, the other two by Bauer Ordnance Company.

The blades are in very good condition with reasonable honest wear, and are still relatively sharp. It still has the original phosphate finish fully intact, and the only wear is from the runners, and also some of the plastic from the scabbard has rubbed onto the finish. Grips are the standard hard black checkered phenolic type, with honest wear to the handles and the scabbards. The scabbards feature duck canvas body, metal throat, and canvas frog and securing strap with a steel pistol belt hook.

The perfect accessory for any Vietnam War issue M16 Rifle.
