Item Description
Original Item: Only one available. This is a great example of the traditional "Bichaq" fighting knife of the Ottoman Empire dating from around 1800. It measures 11 1/2" in overall length with a single edged blade just over 7 inches in length. There is a stylized Horn grip with decorations of brass circles and dots inlaid, and the blade bears what appears to be an ARMORER'S MARK of a crossed S.
The knife comes complete with its original brass covered wood scabbard, the brass with some embossed decoration. Condition is very good, with a lovely patina of age, and the edge on the knife is still sharp.
A wicked knife intended to be tucked into a sash or waist band. In very nice condition and ready to display.
