Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an original pattern 1935 Soviet uniform set. The model 1935 uniform did not feature shoulder boards as the communist thinking at the time is that shoulder boards were a bourgeois indication of the Imperialist era. The exposed button M-35 uniform (not with the flap over the hidden buttons) is commonly referred to as an NKVD cut uniform.
This uniform tunic is in wonderful condition for the age and has period applied insignia for Road Construction/Driver present on the collar along with 4 “red triangles”, the rank for Starshina (Sergeant Major) and a brass triangular device worn by NCO’s which was introduced in 1940.
The condition is quite nice but there is a few discrepancies. One of the front buttons is missing entirely and the enamel on one of the red triangles on the collar is missing as well.
A fantastic example ready for further research and display.
