This is a genuine flag for the Worker's Party of Korea, the founding ruling party in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), usually known as North Korea. The flag features a red field, with the WPK emblem in yellow in the center. The party's emblem is an adaptation of the communist hammer and sickle, with a traditional Korean calligraphy brush. The symbols represent the industrial workers (hammer), peasants (sickle) and intelligentsia (ink brush).
The flag looks to be made of nylon or rayon, and measures 75" x 48" overall, including the 3 inch side white header. There are production markings in Korean faintly visible on the header, showing that this is a genuine example. Condition is like new. Ready to add to your collection!
