Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Now this is a lovely trainer item! While it was constructed with an original tailfin assembly, the warhead is constructed out of solid resin, making this a BATF compliant display item.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The RPG-2 is a man-portable, shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon that was designed in the Soviet Union. It was the first successful anti-tank weapon of its type, being a successor to the earlier and unsuccessful rocket-propelled grenade RPG-1.
The RPG-2 offered better range and armor penetration, making it useful against late and post-World War II tanks, in contrast to the RPG-1 that had only marginal utility. The basic design and layout was further upgraded to produce the ubiquitous RPG-7.
The rocket measures approximately 18 ½” and retains nearly all original paint from when the EOD team using this example employed it for training purposes.
A lovely item ready for further research and display.
