Original U.S. .22 cal Clone of the Colt No.3 Derringer Pocket Pistol with Tip Up Barrel c. 1890

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Certainly intended to "CLONE" the COLT No.3 DERRINGER, this little fellow, fully Nickel plated has a forward tilting “Tip Up” barrel, and is in .22 rimfire. We imagine this type of barrel was used to avoid the Patent infringement, as opposed to the Colt’s Side Swing barrel feature.

It features a bird's Head wood grip, with most of the Nickel plating remaining. Under the grips and on the barrel is a number 7 stamped into metal, but we do not know if this is a serial number or an assembly number. There are no other markings anywhere on the revolver. It functions correctly as far as we can tell, with the ejector working.

Just ideal for a Vest Pocket or a Lady's garter. Circa 1890 in wonderful condition and ready to display!
