Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a very scarce experimental cup from 1903. In the early part of the twentieth century, during the process of reviewing the equipment for use with the new M-1903 rifle, the Army experimented with a number of different patterns and material for cups. In 1903 graniteware enameling, popular with civilian kitchen items, was examined and found to be poisonous with acidic foods.
Measures 2.75 high and 4.5 in diameter.
