Original U.S. Captured German WWII Leather Medic First Aid Case with U.S. Issue Supplies

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice German WWII Issue Brown Leather Medic First Aid pouch, which was captured by U.S. forces during WWII. It was then put into service as a First Aid Pouch for the Allies, and is filled with U.S. WWII issue medical supplies.

The pouch itself is kidney shaped and measures 7"H x 4 1/2"W x 3 1/2", with a medic "Red Cross" on a white oval sewn to the front of the lid. The rear of the lid is held by a leather "hinge", though much of the stitching has come loose. The closure strap slides over a pin on the front, which then has a buckle that closes over the pin. Definitely an interesting design that would not come open when unwanted.

The first aid case contains the following items:

- U.S Army Tourniquet and Forceps in original cardboard box.

- 1 Gauze Compress 24" x 72" in original cardboard box.

- 1 Burn-Injury Set containing Two Tubes of Boric Acid Ointment.

- 10 Ammonia Inhalants .4cc each in original box.

- 1/8 Fluid Ounce Oil of Cloves in original Box.

- 6 Pack of Tincture of Iodine Applicator Swabs in original Box dated October 10, 1942

Please consult the detailed pictures for further details on the contents.

This is a very nice bit of WWII History, ready to add to your collection!
