Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an early production model in that the horn is made of two parts and the brazed seam in the bell is quite evident. With ever increasing manufacturing achievements, by the close of the war it was possible to spin the bell using one piece of brass at a lower cost.
This example clearly has the brazed seam and is tightly bound in the correct BLUE Cord used by Union Infantry Regiments. In really fine but matured condition this has no doubt hung on someone's wall on display for over 150 years. Markings on mouth piece including U.S. It does have some dents on the rear bow before the bell, and is not free-blowing. Ready to display in your collection.
