Original Item: Only One Available. This is a totally inert/deactivated example of the 120mm XM932 Practice Mortar Round. The device has no explosive filling or charges and cannot be converted to be an explosive device. This is completely inert and in compliance with BATF guidelines on inert ordnance.

Mortar practice ammunition provides safe, realistic and low cost training for mortar crews, forward observers and fire direction control personnel. This ammunition is full caliber (not a sabot) and is ready to fire in all weather conditions. Pyrotechnic impact signature does not cause fragments and provides excellent fire adjustment training.
120 mm HE mortar projectiles generally contain anywhere between 1,270 g and 4,200 g of HE and have maximum ranges of between 7,200 – 9,500 m. While 100, 160, and 240 mm mortars are also employed in conflict zones, 120 mm caliber mortars are by far the most common heavy mortars in service globally. Both smoothbore and rifled 120 mm mortars are in common usage. Much like rifled firearms, rifled mortar barrels impart spin to projectiles as they move up the barrel, which can increase accuracy. The most notable rifled 120 mm mortar is the French-designed MO-120 RT-61, which is currently in service with at least 24 different armed forces in the world, including the US Marine Corps (General Dynamics, 2007).
This mortar round was never intended to be used as an explosive device, and as mentioned, was used as a low cost, yet effective training tool. The round still retains all of its original arsenal marking and identifies this round as a 120M / PRACTICE SR / CRTRG XM932 / P0L05H00E039. The “05” in the beginning of the lot number indicates the year of manufacture. To complete the ensemble is the M775 Practice PD Fuze in undamaged condition.
This is a spectacular mortar round that is still used on the frontlines in today’s conflicts all across the globe.
