Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a 1950s Korean War Era Armored Vehicle & Tanker Helmet, most likely manufactured by Riddell, but the label is under one of the glued on pads. Like most of the early tanker helmets after WWII, the design is very similar to the football helmets of the time. This example features complete rigging on the inside, with a mostly intact crown pad, though it is torn where it goes through the center ring of the rigging.
It has ear padding and ear phones on both sides, though there definitely is wear and degradation. The original wiring is still present, but it has split and definitely is no longer functional. Like most early helmets, this one looks to have been modified more than once during its service life.
A great piece of armored vehicle helmet history, ready to display!
