Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an authentic, vintage U.S. Military TNT Explosive Demolitions One Pound Block from the 1950s-1960s era. The packaging for this item was introduced during the later stages of WWII and was used all the way through the Vietnam Era. Although the explosive content has been removed from this tube, the cardboard casing and metal ends are still intact, making it a great addition to any military collection. The item has a unique historical value and is a testament to the military's technological advancements during the time.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The packaging is attractive, with a forest green color base with a yellow band at the midsection. On the face of the tube is marked in white but is unfortunately presented without a majority of the text, for historical reference it would read as: “HIGH EXPLOSIVE/TNT/1 POUND NET/DANGEROUS” on the reverse is marked: “FOR FRONT LINE DEMOLITION ONLY/NOT TO BE USED FOR GENERAL BLASTING/DO NOT USE UNDERGROUND OR IN ENCLOSED SPACES BECAUSE OF DANGEROUS FUMES” The top of the box is marked “EQUIVALENT TO TWO POUNDS TNT BLOCKS” followed by a lot number.
Due to the nature of these items, very few examples survive to this day. Most, if not used, were intentionally destroyed for obvious reasons! This is an excellent opportunity to obtain a scarce piece of U.S. Military Ordnance.
