Original Item: Only One Available. This a very nice example of an early 20th century West Point cadet’s parade shako with the original plume (often missing or replaced). The front brass badge reads Duty, Honor, Country, West Point, MDCCC, USMA.
Leather liner reads The Cadet Store, West Point, N.Y. in a diamond shaped logo. West Point, New York is the home of the United States Military Academy. There is also an old paper label with hand written name in ink that reads BROWN W.P.
The stiff patent leather peak retains the brass edging and the Academy brass helmet plate is all present, the brass has a wonderful patina. Overall a wonderful example of a turn of the century West Point Cadet Shako.
