Item Description
Original Item: Only On Available. Anyone who read lots of gun catalogs in the 1960s-1970s should recognize this. Retailed by the Numrich Gun Corp. in West Hurley, N.Y., this is a replica "Kentucky Rifle", more properly known as a Pennsylvania Rifle. These were sold as THE MINUTEMAN, as marked on the top of the barrel, and came in a few different configurations. These were quite tell made, most likely overseas, for the company. Original Kentucky Rifles were expensive, hard to find, and not something someone wanted to use, which made these perfect for the budding gun collector.
Measuring 55" in overall length this has a 39" Octagonal rifled barrel in approximately .50cal.. It has all brass mounts including patch Box. The Trade Lock is marked
WARRANTED, as many of the original rifles this was based on used imported British Trade Locks. It has a nice brass patch box on the rear, with a spring loaded cover.
While not "original", it certainly looks the part at a fraction of the price of the real thing. Ready to display!
