Original U.S. Philippine Insurrection-Era M1899 Enlisted Khaki Field Blouse Uniform Jacket

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. The Regulation M-1899 Khaki Field Blouse was worn by Army Enlisted Soldiers. Several improvements were made to this blouse over the 1898 model. The standing collar has been replaced with the popular roll collar, which would be removed only after a few years. This is a rare model of uniform used primarily during the Philippine Insurrection-Era.

The uniform has all later rimless eagle buttons, none missing. The uniform is clearly marked size 38 on the interior. There is a Philadelphia Depot Inspection stamp that reads Phila. Depot M. Schlesinger. There is also a clear maker’s stamp:

Charles Chrisdie & Co.
562 Seventh Ave.
N.Y.C.

This uniform model dates around the period of the Philippine Insurrection, as the later darker rimless eagle buttons denote use into the end of the decade.

The overall condition is incredible for being over 120 years old. This is a must have in your U.S. uniform or Philippine Insurrection collection! Comes ready for display!
