Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptionally rare turn of the century Spanish American war Krag or Pre-WWI 1903 style solid wood training rifle designed for bayonet combat, specially charges which were still a common practice of the American infantry before and during the Great War.
Constructed from one piece of wood, this simulated rifle with mounted bayonet measures 59 inches in length and is finished with what appears to be a horse hair padded "sharp" end. There are no markings beyond a number 9 impressed into the "action". The weight is nearly identical to a real rifle.
This example is offered in excellent condition with the original finish and no issues beyond expected scuffs and minor impressions due to age, service and storage.
