Original U.S. Various Field Gear Items, WWI, WWII, Korean War

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Available. This is a great lot of Pre-WWI through Korean War U.S. Military Field and Webgear. All items are genuine articles. The lot includes the following:

- x2 1903 Pattern Haversacks: The haversacks unfortunately do not have any date stamps visible, but we believe that are the Pre WWI 1903 haversacks. Both have visible infantry unit markings still on the front. All buckles and straps are present and functional. As expected with these packs and what their use was for, there is fading, minor holes and stains on the packs.

- M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) Ammo Belt: The belt is dated 1942 and was supplied by D.M. Shoe Co. The manufacturer's stamp can be found on the inside of the belt. This is a nice and “salty” used belt, showing signs of definite field wear and use. All buckles, snaps and eyelets are present and functional. There are no obvious signs of damage.

- 3 tier munition/storage pouch and Web Belt: Both are in good condition, the pouch appears as if it was never issued out for field use. All snaps and buckles are present and without damage. There is slight discoloration to the material but no damage. The pouch is dated 1944 and was supplied by Dresslee MFG. CO.

- WWII M4 Gas Mask and Carrier: The mask itself seems to have never been issued and comes complete with the original face form still tied to it. The mask is dated 7/42 and is a size small-short, probably a female’s size. This is where it gets interesting, the carrier for the mask is dated for 1956, but the M4 gas mask was obsolete by 1950. Interesting combination of the two. Both are in excellent near mint condition.

This is a great starter lot for people still new to collecting!
