Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice US Vietnam War Combat Vehicle Crewman (CVC) Helmet model T56-6. These Helmets were worn by crewmen aboard Tanks and other Combat Vehicles. The Helmet comes complete with headphones built in and adjustable microphone, which are attached to the correct SONETRONICS Model SA-1552/G Transceiver mounted on the left side of the helmet.It still has the original cord for interfacing with the vehicle radio, and also has a long coiled extension cord as well.
The helmet has been repainted at least once, and the rear of the helmet bears the insignia of the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), commonly referred to as the 1st Air Cavalry Division. They were heavily involved in various "Air Cavalry" assaults during the Vietnam War.
The helmet is in good shape, with an intact ballistic nylon main body correctly painted OD Green. There is some wear, but overall it is in great shape. The interior is realtively clean, and has an intact rigging and sweatband. The earphones have intact padding, and the foam padding behind them is still soft and has not deteriorated.
