Original Item: Only One Set Available. Very good condition Vietnam War era U.S. Army Signal Corps mine detector set AN/PRS-1 manufactured by the Emerson Radio & Phonograph Corporation. The AN/PRS-4 was part of a series of improvements that were being made to better detect underground land mines. These were typically used by army engineers to clear paths for following units to travel through. According to the technical manual it is meant to detect anti-tank and landmines mines buried less 20 inches below ground. The dimensions of the chest are 30 1/2" x 14" x 10" and overall weight is 60 lbs.
