Original Item: Only One Available. Hỏa Lò Prison was a prison in Hanoi originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the "Hanoi Hilton". The prison was demolished during the 1990s, although the gatehouse remains as a museum.
The display box contains a 7 ¾” x 7 ⅜” x 2” brick recovered from the outer wall of the prison from when it was being demolished during the 90’s. The downed aircraft part is an unknown part from an unknown aircraft, which was on display at the North Vietnamese Army museum and was liberated some time after the war. Pasted on the backing of the box is a few photos as well as labels for each piece.
