Original Item: One-of-a-kind set. This is a fantastic grouping that belonged Ronald A. Nuzzo of West Haven, Connecticut who served in the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a reporter and photographer for the Green Beret Magazine. The Green Beret Magazine was published by 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) from 1966-1970 in Vietnam. You can verify Nuzzo's service at this link.
The Group Public Information Office published the monthly Green Beret magazines, a Command Information newsletter, maintained liaison between the Group Commander and the Press and provided photographic coverage for group events and ceremonies.
This is a collection of original photographs taken by Nuzzo in Vietnam from April 1968 to April 1969. There are more than 100 images, in multiple sizes, printed on original period paper. The images capture battles, training, munitions, dead, indigenous population, Nuzzo himself with fellow Green Berets and much more. Many of the photos have notations and dates (1968 - 1969) on the reverse. Also included are original News Releases from July 5th, 1968 and an original copy of Special Orders that lists Nuzzo.
This is an exceptional rare collection of genuine Vietnam war reporter photos the vast majority of which have not been previously published or seen.
