Original Item: Only One Available. This was a 7th Regiment, National Guard New York issue shako circa 1890-1917. Inside top of crown is a fine maker label that reads:

Black wool felt shako 6.5 inches tall with bell crown and black patent leather visor and trim; button with crossed rifles in relief and attached hooks from which metal scale chin strap with black leather backing is suspended; braided white cord draped in front and back; white feather plume that stands 10 inches tall. Black 6 finger canvas liner with tie, offered on overall good condition. Missing helmet plate.
