This is an exceptionally rare excellent complete example of a model 1912 experimental entrenching shovel with a removable shovel head on the 1912 picket pin farrier hammer. This rare entrenching tool also comes with a very nice Rock Island Arsenal RIA 1907 marked M1905 shovel cover that has a Krag bayonet style hanger attachment. All components of this entrenching tool are offered in excellent condition. We've only ever seen a few examples of the 1912 experimental shovel and this is by far the best most complete example.
