Original Item: Nearly 100 years old, what a find! Just out of long-term storage, these are Original U.S. WW1 issue Mess tins sets (aka meat cans) comprising of oval aluminum tin with steel fold out handle. Every set is stamped "U.S." along with a maker code and World War One date.
Each is comprised of an upper and lower section- an oval lid held to the lower pan by a riveted steel handle that folds over to lock the lid in place. Quite different from the US WW2 issue, these mess tins have become quite scarce on today's market. Every set is fully marked and almost 100 years old!
Utensils not included.
