Original U.S. WWI Named 87th Division Uniform & Medal Group with Printed Research

Item Description

Original Items. One-of-a-Kind. This is the phenomenal uniform grouping of Corporal Ralph Samuel Heaton, Company G, 312th Ammunition Train, 87th Division. The grouping is very extensive and includes several pages of research done on Heaton. Don’t miss out on this extensive group!

This group includes:

● Heaton’s uniform jacket, with an 87th Division patch sewn onto the left sleeve, one overseas chevron for 6-11 months overseas on the left cuff, corporal chevrons on his right sleeve, and US & Field Artillery collar discs. The jacket is in great shape with few flaw.
● Heaton’s four medals which have been pinned to the left breast of his jacket, which include his State Council of New Jersey WWI Service Medal, engraved Ralph S. Heaton, his State of New Jersey WWI Victory Medal engraved Ralph S. Heaton on the front, his World War I Victory medal with a France clasp, and his French Croix de Guerre Medal with star, pinned to a small clasp engraved Ralph S. Heaton.
● Heaton’s uniform overcoat, with an 87th Division patch sewn onto the left sleeve, one overseas chevron for 6-11 months overseas on the left cuff, and corporal chevrons on his right sleeve. The 87th Division patch has partially detached but still displays very well. The overcoat is very large and is in great shape.
● Two pairs of Heaton’s breeches/trousers, one pair retaining the original QM issued belt. Both sets are in fair condition.
● Heaton’s overseas cap with a leather sweatband and the initials R.S.H. written several times.
● A pair of puttees wrapped up as they often are, both in great shape.
● A pair of white gloves belonging to Heaton.
● A tan-colored private-purchase underwear vest by Wright’s, some moth nips but all buttons retained.
● Heaton’s army-issue shirt in good shape with few flaws.
● A manila envelope with 14 pages of printed research, some of which is not available through conventional methods meaning someone paid to retrieve it, like his New Jersey service record.
