Original U.S. WWII 48 Star American Eagle Flag Kit by The Flag In Every Home Committee in Original Packaging

Original Item: Only One Available. During WWII morale on the home front was very important, and The Flag in Every Home Committee was one of several home front patriotic organizations looking to help boost the mood of the nation by helping people to "Americanize YOUR HOME". They produced several different "kits" during the war with 48-star flags attached to an eagle, which you would then hang on the wall.
This is a very nice example of the 1942 version of the kit with the flag folded in the original packaging. The flag measures 33" x 21". The cover of the box has patriotic phrases from Sgt. York as well as General Douglas MacArthur, and the inner packaging has both the PLEDGE TO THE FLAG as ratified by Congress June 22, 1942, as well as THE AMERICAN'S CREED by Wm. Tyler Page. There are also instructions on how to correctly fasten the flag to the Eagle Staffhead, which is made from pressed wood and painted gold.
