Item Description
Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a great partial propeller off of a WWII gunnery target drone which has been inscribed and awarded as a trophy for the 10mm Record. We believe this to be for the 529th Field Artillery Battalion, due to the inscription. The inscription reads:
“A” 529th
10mm Record Feb. - April -’44
6-OQEA’S - 1000 yds.
Battery Score 119
We are unsure of what 6-OQEA’S means, but from Battery score, we believe the propeller to have been awarded to Battery A, 529th Field Artillery Battalion. The propeller measures 19⅝” long and is missing most of the other half as shown. The only other marking is a stamped 10552 on the side of the hub.
A great piece, ready for further research and display.
