The M83 Illuminating Cartridge (ILL) was a pyrotechnic parachute flare shell used in night missions requiring illumination for assistance in observation. This is a hard to find WWII 1943 Dated example designed for use with the U.S. 60mm M2 Mortar. This example is offered in very good condition, with original markings and date painted on the mortar round body. A great chance to pick up a scarce WWII dated deactivated mortar shell!
