Original U.S. WWII 7x50 M15 Binoculars by Westinghouse with USCG V.D. Filter - Dated 1944

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This are excellent condition fully functional WWII M15 7x50 binoculars with clear optics. They feature the standard black textured finish with gloss black fittings. The binoculars are nicely marked on both end plates:

On the Right Side:

BINOCULAR M15
H.M.R.
WESTINGHOUSE 1944

On the Left:

7X50

The binoculars also have serial NO. 2757 on the center hinge pivot. The "H.M.R." marking is thought to be the initials of the inspection officer stationed at that particular manufacture, in this case Westinghouse. Research has not been able to identify them unfortunately. Both diopter adjustments rotate smoothly.

They come complete with leather neck strap and an excellent condition U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) marked V.D. FILTER (Variable Darkness), which allows for use in sunlight. They have two sets of polarized lenses inside, which are rotated by small levers on the side. This darkens the tint of the filters. They still adjust properly, though the adjustment is a bit stiff due to age.

All in all a great example of U.S. WWII Binoculars, complete with a USCG filter. Ready for use or display!
