The Lot consists of the following:
-Aeronautics Aircraft Spotters’ Guide, Issue Number 3. Published by the National Aeronautics Council and dated July 15, 1942. The 96 page booklet contains various aircraft of Allied and Axis origin. In excellent condition, even including the original inserts!
-Aeronautics Aircraft Spotters’ Guide, Issue Number 4. Published by the National Aeronautics Council and dated October 15, 1942. The 96 page booklet contains various aircraft of Allied and Axis origin. In excellent condition, even including the original inserts!
-Aeronautics Aircraft Spotters’ Handbook. Published by the National Aeronautics Council, Inc, 1943. The book is sectionalized by types of aircraft (single engine, two engine, biplanes, etc) to assist in speed of locating the aircraft. The book shows wear from honest use and storage age.
-War Department FM 30-30, Recognition Pictorial Manual. Published by the Bureau of Aeronautics, Navy Department. Dated June 1943. This official US Government publication illustrates various US Military and Axis and Alled Aircraft.
-War Department FM 30-50, Recognition Pictorial Manual of Naval Vessels. Published by the Bureau of Aeronautics, Navy Department. Dated 15 September 1943. This official US Government publication illustrates various US Military and Axis and Alled ships.
-Identification of Enemy Warplanes Training Aid. Published by the U.S. Government Printing Office. Dated 1942. This is a rare example of a spinning identification wheel, as used during training showing signs of heavy use. Sadly the pieces are separated, but could be repaired if one so desired.
All items are in good but worn condition and are all able to still be read with clear images. This is a must have for military vehicle enthusiasts!
