Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice example of a WWII Issue Carry Case for the M1 Carbine, officially known as the "United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1." This case was intended for transporting the rifle easily when in non-combat areas, keeping it free from dirt and wear.
This example is maker marked under the top flap: SHANE MFG. CO. / 1944. It also has a written marking "S.F.C. Storage". This example is made of OD Green #7 Canvas, which has faded a bit over the years. This is darker, more "green" type of OD green, as typical of later ware produced items. The case is overall very good, with with an intact shoulder strap, working zipper, and no major rips or tears in the fabric. Definitely very good condition for its age.
