Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice genuine example manufactured by Robeson Cutlery for the US Military for use in World War Two. It was intended as both a fighting and utility knife.
The overall length is 24.5cm and the blade measures 13cm. The handle is made from stacked leather rings and the original pommel is made of wood (RARE). The base of the blade is stamped with U.S.N. on one side and Robeson ShureEdge No. 20 on the other.
What makes this knife very rare is that it retains the original wooden pommel. There were few made and even fewer survived the harsh realities of combat use. They switched to a metal pommel after the first year of production.
Also comes with the original leather scabbard which is both stitched and riveted together (as designed).
A rare early production Mark I knife perfect for any USN or edged weapons collection.
