Original U.S. WWII Second Pattern M6 Bazooka Rocket Bag Lot With Rocket Launcher Face Masks - 5 Items

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Lot of 5 Available. These are lovely second pattern canvas bags with dual lift-the-dot snap-buttons, adjustable shoulder strap, side carry straps. Each is stamped with maker markings for BOYT 45, BEAUMONT’S 1945 and one that is too faded to read but has a 1944 date still partly visible. There are no Danish crowns present, meaning these examples were not sold after the war and remained in the U.S. Holds three 2.36" rockets for the M1/M1A1 and M9/M9A1 bazooka rocket launchers. Like all WWII U.S. field gear the color and material of these bags vary based on manufacturer and date produced as you can see from the photos. The condition of the bags is really good but unfortunately the earlier one that’s dated 1944 no longer has the male ends for the top flap fasteners still secured and are now holes. Measures approximately 22" x 11" x 5" when full. The cardboard tube inserts are new made items to add a more appealing appearance when displayed.

The two face masks in the group were intended for soldiers to wear as an extra protective measure while using the rocket launcher. As with most equipment like this they were normally discarded because the last thing you wanted to do in a firefight was impede your vision. The masks are in good condition but unfortunately one of the masks had the lenses removed. The original cardboard box for the mask is present and in fair condition but the front is still able to be read.

Comes more than ready for display.
