Item Description
Original Items: Only One Set Of 4 Available. During WWII, the thoughts of soldiers were often on their loved ones' minds back home, especially their significant others. There were many different types of "sweetheart" items available, such as makeup compacts, mirrors, rings, necklaces, pins, and of course, bracelets.
These are very nice examples of sweetheart bracelets, each composed of 7 linked sections, with an end clasp that locks into the other end, securing the bracelet. The sections of this bracelet are marked with the initials of the branches, as well as the proper insignia. The "locking" section is marked “Sterling”. The bracelets all measure approximately 7 inches not including the clasp section, and are all marked STERLING on the back.
The Military Branches Featured Are:
-U.S. Army: Insignia between “US” and “Army” (7 links)
-U.S. Coast Guard: The pattern is: Insignia-U S-Insignia-C G-Insignia (7 links)
-U.S. Navy: The pattern is: U-S-Insignia-N-A-V-Y (7 links)
-U.S. Army Air Forces: The pattern is: Insignia-U-S-A-A-F-Insignia (7 links)
