Item Description
Original Items: Only One Set Of 2 Available. During WWII, the thoughts of soldiers were often on their loved ones' minds back home, especially their significant others. There were many different types of "sweetheart" items available, such as makeup compacts, mirrors, rings, necklaces, pins, and of course, bracelets.
These are very nice examples of sweetheart bracelets, each composed of 11 linked sections, with an end clasp that inserts and locks into the other end, securing the bracelet. The sections of these bracelets are marked with the initials of the branches, as well as the proper insignia. The "locking" section is marked “Sterling”. The bracelets measure approximately 7 ½ inches including the clasp section, and are both marked STERLING on the back.
The Military Branches Featured Are:
-U.S. Navy: The pattern is: “Torch of Knowledge” / Locking Insert - USN Anchor x3 - U - S - N - “Torch of Knowledge” - End Clasp (11 links)
-U.S. Army Air Corps: The pattern is: “Torch of Knowledge” / Locking Insert - Insignia x2 - U - S - Insignia - A - C - Insignia x2 - “Torch of Knowledge” - End Clasp (11 links)
