Item Description

Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Group. This is a fantastic group of WWII Tank Destroyer artwork including a small painting done for the 893rd Tank Destroyer Battalion in Germany, a plaster plaque made at Camp Hood, Texas, and an M36 Jackson Tank Destroyer painted onto a slab of wood.

The group includes:
- Framed Painting of a Tank on an orange background rolling through camouflage smoke below an American Flag with 48 stars. 19 45 on each side of the tank and 893 T.D. for the 893rd Tank Destroyer Battalion. Below this is a ribbon reading GERMANY and more specifically, SCHWARZENBORN. The 893rd T.D.B. was stationed at Interment Camp 93 at Schwarzenborn, Germany. Frame is painted silver and measures 6 x 6¼”. Not mounting, requires some.
- Plaster plaque depicting the Tank Destroyer Tiger with a tank in his teeth with the motto SEEK - STRIKE - DESTROY above it. Below it reads TANK DESTROYER CENTER CAMP HOOD TEXAS. The bottom has the initials H.D.M. which could be a good research project. Measures 7¼” in diameter. Wire mounted on reverse.
- Slab of wood with M36 Jackson Tank Destroyer painted traveling down a road. Very nice linework. Measures 9⅝ x 4”. Mounted on back.

This is a great lot of original WWII Tank Destroyer artwork, that will add some great color and flair to your WWII Armored or Anti-Armor collection.
