Item Description
Original Item: One Only. This is an outstanding example of the very scarce U.S. issue Thompson Sub Machine gun sling. This sling is a shorter version of the "Standard Kerr Extension Gun Sling" issued for the 1903 Springfield rifle. When properly attached, the sling has multiple length configurations, and is fully adjustable depending on how the Thompson was being held.
This example is constructed of tan colored webbing with the standard brass clip mountings. The brass of the buckles and keeper was originally plated or "blacked", however that has worn off a good amount of the buckles. The canvas is in good condition, with some staining and edge fraying. The hardware is fully functional, with the springs working and all parts included.
Designed to fit all U.S. military Issue Thompson used in WW2 be they M-1928A1 or M1/M1A1 models. This is the perfect sling to complete any WW2 Thompson Military Collection.
