Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. During WWII, the thoughts of soldiers were often on their loved ones back home, especially their significant others. There were many different types of "sweetheart" items available, such as makeup compacts, mirrors, rings, necklaces, pins, and of course, bracelets.
This is a very nice U.S. Marine Corps bracelet, composed of 10 linked sections, with an end clasp that locks into the other end, securing the bracelet. The sections of this bracelet are marked with the US MC initials of the Marine Corps, as well as the famous EGA "Eagle Globe Anchor" insignia, surrounded by 13 stars. The "locking" section is marked with the Torch of Liberty. The bracelet measures 7 inches over all not including the clasp section, and is marked STERLING on the back.
The bracelet is in very good condition, with a nice patina, and a lot of the original background darkening intact. Ready to display!
