Original Item: Only One available. A most unusual African war spike, fashioned in the very same manner as a Zulu axe but using a 13 1/3 inch steel spike that penetrates through the head of the wooden shaft and held secure with bound wire.
21 inches in overall length it is very easy to imagine the terrible wounds such a horrific weapon could inflict. Clearly showing age with various almost hardened wood cracks to the shaft but still totally solid and menacing. No doubt brought back by a British red coated Soldier after the Zule war or other native wars waged by the colonial British Victorian military establishment.
