NOW WHAT?
I'VE FOUGHT THE WAR
I'VE BEEN UP AND DOWN
I'VE BEEN USED AS A TOY
I'VE EVEN FELT LIKE A CLOWN
NOW TELL ME WHAT IT WAS ALL FOR
AS I LAY HERE ON THE GROUND
I'VE LEFT THE ONE I LOVE
TO COME TO THE LAND OF THE HAWK
AND DOVE.
THEY GIVE YOU A GUN AND KNIFE
AND SAY FIGHT
WHY SHOULD I FIGHT JUST TO DO RIGHT
I HAVE TO LEARN AGAIN
TO BE A FREE MAN
FOR IN MY WORLD
ALL I FIGHT FOR IS MY GIRL
ALONE I STAND JUST ONE MAN
