This example is of the most common of North Vietnamese Army Hand Grenades of the Vietnam War. This is the typical pattern of NVA / VC long-handle smooth body stick grenade with a crude sand-cast fragmentation head. The tell tale signs of indigenous Vietnamese manufacture is the crude cast fragmentation head and the smooth, non-ridged handle with waxed waterproofing inside the handle and around the collar where the head attaches to the handle. This example does have a removable bottom plug nor does it have remnants of the waxed waterproofing on the inside.
This is a wonderful example that comes more than ready for display!
